Agtegra Donates to 77 Rural and Volunteer Fire Departments Across the Dakotas

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to community health and safety, Agtegra Cooperative has provided donations to 77 rural and volunteer fire departments throughout North and South Dakota this year.

“As a farmer-owned cooperative, supporting rural families is at the heart of our mission,” said Jason Klootwyk, Agtegra CEO. “Local volunteer fire departments are essential to the safety of the communities they serve, and we’re proud to contribute to their continued readiness and resilience.”

With many Agtegra locations situated in small, remote communities far from full-time emergency services, the role of volunteer fire departments is especially critical. These teams often provide the first and only emergency response line in areas where every minute counts.

“Volunteer fire departments are vital to the well-being of our member-owners, employees, and their families,” added Klootwyk. “We’re deeply grateful for their dedication and service.”

Agtegra amplified its impact through a matching grant from the Land O’Lakes Foundation, effectively doubling its contributions. These funds help departments access essential training and equipment, strengthening emergency response capabilities in rural areas.
